Member in the News: Red Cross chapter office moved
Date posted: January 10, 2012
Mark Smith, Bradford/Sullivan Red Cross Chapter co-chair, has announced that the chapter has moved from the Bradford County Airport to 800 S. Main Street, in downtown Towanda.
Smith also announced that Carmon Flynn has been appointed interim executive director while a search for a permanent director is conducted. Flynn has been in numerous leadership positions and during the recent storms that devasted NEPA, Flynn served as the government liaison between the Red Cross and many government entities including the Bradford and Sullivan Emergency Management Offices.
According to Flynn, the board and volunteers of the chapter have been very supportive during the move to the new office. An open house is planned now that the holidays are over. Anyone needing information on the Red Cross or wishing to volunteer is invited to call or stop by the office.
